5 symptoms of muscle stress
Muscular stress occurs when the load or tension resisting a certain area of the body is overcome for various reasons; which can cause, in the long run, an injury or temporary or permanent immobilization.
According to the expert Antonio Barbosa, physiatrist and specialist in sports medicine and physical rehabilitation, and director of the Comprehensive Physical Rehabilitation Center, some of the causes that can produce muscle stress are the following:
1. Performing an exercise incorrectly.
2. Work stress. Where the person has a professional activity behind a monitor, a condition that produces a bad posture.
3. Push an object that exceeds our strength.
4. Old injury. This, if not treated correctly, can generate contralateral pressure on the damaged muscle .
5. Misuse of the shoe. Especially when talking about the use of low shoes for many hours. Especially when it comes to the tendon of the sole of the foot, which can also suffer from muscular stress.
Thus, each area of the body can present this pathology that, if not treated, can lead to an injury to the dorsal column, hip, joint wear, until reaching an inability to move the area or limb.
Ways to treat and prevent muscle stress are as follows:
1. Change of posture. If you work in front of a computer, your arms should rest on the desk up to the level of your elbows.
2. Do stretching exercises.
3. If you already have the injury, you can treat it with rehabilitation.
Here it is important that you do not perform strong or deep massages, since according to the expert Barbosa, beyond improving, it can harm the pain in the muscle. Remember, your health is in your hands. Take care of yourself!
