5 easy steps to breathe and relax

There is no need to let stress take over your life. You can use your breath to relax your mind and body. Yoga  will help you achieve that state that your body and mind need: relaxation .



 

Deep breathing is both relaxing and energizing. The energy is felt from the moment you start to breathe calmly. Slow, simple, calm and constant breathing sends a message to your nervous system to increase your tolerance and feel better.

 

Entire books have been written on breathing in yoga . Here you will find a 5-minute manual to learn it. Read the instructions several times before putting it into practice.

 

1. Sit with your spine as straight as possible. Use a chair, if necessary. Place your feet flat on the floor with your knees directly over the center of your feet. Your hands should go on top of your legs.

2. Close your eyes. Inhale through your stomach and exhale through your mouth.

3. Think about your ribs, the relaxation of your back and the sides of your body. 

4. Feel your lungs fill with energy. Little by little you will experience tranquility and flexibility in every part of your body.

 

These practical, but effective breathing exercises should be done for 2 or 3 minutes, and then for a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes. When you notice how good you feel, it will become a good habit of life.
